What makes a good teacher great?

Hello! My Name is Jimena and I am from Mendoza, Argentina. After my family, literature and teaching are my passions. I love music, too. We usually gather with family and friends to have a barbecue, sing and spend time together. 

I am passionate and patient, lively and flexible. I always try to guide my students so that they can do their best. I have a degree in Teaching English and a Masters degree in Literature.I studied at a Teacher Training College at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. I have been a teacher of English and Literature for more than 30 years! I have taught IGCSE English as a Second Language, History and Literature in bilingual high schools. I also taught in college as an English and Literature teacher. Currently, I am teaching some courses on English Language in College- UNCuyo and Universidad de Mendoza, and I am giving some courses on Shakespeare and Literature, in general.

I love teaching and I love Literature, so I try to make my students love Literature too!! I have mostly worked with pre-adolescents, adolescents, young people and adults throughout these years. I do my best to engage students by trying to make them comfortable and adapting to their likes and needs. 

Hello, my name is Macarena and I am from Argentina. I am interested in reading, listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family. I love nature and I believe you can learn something new every single day, that is why I consider my everyday life an adventure. I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Science in Communication and I am doing a Diplomacy in Literature. I have been helping students with their English since I started college and I love everything about it. That is why I have decided to start a Masters in Education in August. I have mostly taught private classes for secondary students with IGCSE exams in History and Language, TOEFLs and FCEs. But I have also worked at a school giving Theatre, Lost Tools of Writing, Writing and Rhetoric, Literature seminars and English for Kindergarteners. At present I am also working in an online platform where I help adults with their English grammar and pronunciation.

I believe I am a versatile teacher who always tries to make my students reach their best, so my methodology changes depending on with whom I am working. I find it satisfying when we are able to shape the class in a way we both find enjoyable!
